In a compilation book of A.W. Tozer sermons called "The Purpose of Man", Tozer explains how we, as God's creation, were designed to worship. Tozer states, "Ultimately, this man is to enter God's presence and unashamedly worship God, looking upon His face while the ages roll."
God has created us in his image to worship him and him alone. In Revelation 4:11, John writes, "Thou art worthy, Lord to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they were created."
This summer, I urge us to enter into the real reason why we were created, to glorify and honor Jesus. Just like the Psalmist in Psalm 27, would you gaze upon the beauty of the Lord? Will you seek him with all that you are?
I believe the Lord will encounter you in special ways this summer as you look to him. There is more to God than we can ever imagine!
