WHAT IS IT?
A four-month program that develops and mentors young student leaders (Grade 5/6) to serve in the church. Serving opportunities are available in JAM Kids Ministry and Hospitality (ushering, greeting, welcome team).
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
- Relationship - students are partnered with a mentor who will get to know them and guide them as they are "on the job". This 1:1 relationship is a great way for kids to connect with and learn from caring mentors.
- Training - there are two types of training that students will participate in to be better equipped to serve confidently and most effectively. Training Sessions are one-hour interactive training times that will help students learn specifics about serving in the church and in their areas of ministry. On the Job Training takes place in specific areas of ministry as students are guided by their mentor "on the job".
- Serving in the Church - all are called to contribute their gifts and abilities in the body of Christ. Introducing positive serving experiences is important to foster this value and calling.
- Early Leadership Development - developing young leaders in a nurturing environment where they can be equipped and grow in confidence is an excellent life skill and good career development.
