Phil grew up in a Christian home on a farm in rural Alberta. He became serious about his faith in his teenage years, gave his life to the Lord, and was later baptized at the Cochrane Alliance Church. Phil married his wife, Melanie, in the Sylvan Lake Alliance Church in 2008. Over the years, Phil has been involved with or served in various church ministries: youth group, college & career, men's group & small groups. He came to Cochrane with his growing family in 2013. Together, he and Melanie have four awesome kids, Faith (2011), Eden (2013), Benji (2016) and Eliza (2018). Phil is an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Helicopter Pilot and owns a helicopter maintenance company in Springbank. In his spare time, Phil can be found with his family: flying, driving, fixing or building something.
