The Right Hand Support Program has been developed to meet the need for healthy, safe connection. COVID-19 has strained people’s inner resources.  Mental health is impacted by ongoing isolation, relational and financial difficulties. The Right Hand Support Program is here to walk beside and encourage individuals and families struggling from the many negative effects of Covid19.  Volunteers are trained and supported to walk alongside people of all ages as they navigate the many hurdles of life.

"Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light."
Helen Keller

Funding for this project was provided through the Government of Alberta Mental Health and Addiction COVID-19 Community Funding Grant Program. This $25 million program supports community projects and services that enhance COVID-19 mental health and addiction recovery supports and services. The grant program is a part of the more than $53 million committed by Alberta’s government to enhance mental health and addiction supports during and after the pandemic.
