WHEN DOES THE NATIVITY NEWS PRODUCTION TAKE PLACE?
Sunday, December 14 during the 9 & 11am services,
WHO WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN THE PRODUCTION?
All children (age 2 to grade 5) attending JAM Kids Ministry on Sundays.
WHAT IS THE MUSICAL ABOUT?
The Nativity News is a musical that unpacks some of the misconceptions behind the traditional nativity story in a fun and meaningful way. The characters in the traditional story are interviewed in the modern day talk show “The Luke & Anna Christmas Special”. As the story unfolds, they reveal the true facts reminding us that nothing can stop God’s plan revealed in Jesus. The musical includes a live play with show hosts and numerous Nativity characters, many actors portraying the traditional story on film, and 5 songs with actions for our Nativity Studio Choir (all the kids).
HOW CAN I HELP MY CHILD PREPARE FOR THE PRODUCTION?

WHEN WILL THE CHILDREN BE PRACTICING?
We will be practicing our songs each week during JAM. Dress Rehearsal will be Thursday, December 12, 6-7:30pm. PS/K will rehearse first then be dismissed. Actors will have numerous additional practices.
WHAT DOES MY CHILD NEED TO WEAR TO THE KIDS PRODUCTION?
Preschoolers/Kindergarteners will wear nativity costumes provided. Actors will have Nativity Character costumes provided. Gr 1-5 in our Nativity Choir are asked to wear green or red t-shirts and black pants.
DO WE NEED TO ATTEND BOTH SERVICES?
We’d love it if your kids could come for both services; 9am and 11am. We will provide a snack and movie for all kids between services.
WHAT TIME SHOULD WE BE AT THE CHURCH ON PRODUCTION DAY?
Please arrive 1/2 hour before the service.
HOW DO WE CHECK IN OUR KIDS ON THE MORNING OF THE PRODUCTION?
Check in all kids (PS to Gr 5) as usual and drop off in their respective classrooms (Gr 1-5 in Bow).
HOW DO WE CHECK OUT OUR KIDS?
Attending both services? PS/K kids return to their respective rooms after the first production; pick them up after the second. Elementary kids go to the Bow Room between services.
1st or 2nd Service only? Pick up PS/K kids from their respective rooms; Grades 1–5 are released from the Bow Room.
WHO CAN WE INVITE TO THE KIDS PRODUCTION?
All are welcome. We encourage you to invite friends & family to either service (9am or 11am) on Dec 14. Just be sure to come early to find a seat!
