Sanctuary Youth Series exists because of the youth and adults who care about the mental health of young people and want to see fiath communities talking about this topic in ways that help raise awareness, reduce stigma, foster resilience, and increase help-seeking.
The content in this series is informed by mental health professionals, theologians, youth ministry leaders, people with lived experience of mental health challenges, and evidence-based research. Each film features a young peron's story about their lived expereince of mental illness. You'll also hear from diverse groups of young people who gathered together to discuss these stories and reflect on the connections between faith and mental health.
Our prayer is that through this series, students will come to a better understanding of themselves, their friends and family, and God-all while learning about mental health and mental health challenges.
The series consists of 7 sessions that will run co-currently with the regular Youth Large Group February 4, 11, March 4, 11, 18, April 1, and 22.
