We Had a [Bike] Blast!

Bike Blast, put on by Cochrane’s own Backyard Kids Camp team on July 7, was a smashing success. In the parking lot of Bow Valley Baptist Church, a collection of stations throughout the bike course gave kids an evening of fun and laughter as they got soapy, sun-kissed, and soaked. With over 100 kids and parents in attendance, the place was buzzing with energy and conversation. The course started with a safety check, where the kids learned to check their tire pressure and bike safety, then they peddled their way to the car wash, where they steered over a soapy foam board before getting drenched going through the water sprayer. Then the real course began! Several games and races were stationed along the course path, where kids got to compete against each other for both the fastest and slowest times, most pennies in the bucket without falling, coolest decorations, and through the obstacle course! At the finish line, after all the silliness, each kid got a rocket popsicle to end the evening.

BKC Krazy Carnival

The Backyard Kids Camp team has one more event coming later in the summer. A Krazy Carnival is being held at the Cochrane Alliance Church parking lot on August 11, 2021 (weather permitting). This FREE, parented, drop-in event is from 6-8 pm. Join us for games, challenges, face-painting, bouncy castles, and concessions! We hope to see you there!
