Rohingya Food Hampers

Many of you have generously given towards a food distribution project to help unemployed Rohingyan people in SE Asia. Below is an update from our international partners who are serving them. 

Dear Cochrane Alliance family,

As we near the end of our food distribution project, we are grateful that you have so generously given to allow it to go forward. To be honest, there were times when we felt that our capacity to gather and then distribute the food packages couldn’t keep up with the abundance of resources that were given. What a great problem to have!

As each distribution has taken place over the last number of days, there are now some people who don’t come to pick up their packages because they have returned to work. We’re grateful for their honesty in telling us this, for then the resources can be redirected to people who still are in need.

Though we all continue to face uncertainties, it remains true that those who suffer the most are these poor, vulnerable people. Thank you for continuing to express the heart of God for dignity, justice and hope to be given to these people. We LITERALLY could not have done all that has been accomplished over these weeks without you.

May the Lord bless you, and keep you, and make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you!
