Let's get out and enjoy a winter day together in God's beautiful creation! This will be beginner-intermediate snowshoeing with a focus on fitness and connection. Any women welcome.

Meet at CAC parking lot at 8:15am for an 8:30am departure. We will carpool from CAC so please consider being a carpool driver.
Destination finalized closer to the date depending on trail, weather, and road conditions.
(1.5 hour drive time to Kananaskis
30 min drive time to West Bragg Creek trails)
We will aim to be back to CAC parking lot for 4:30pm/5:00pm

To bring/wear:

  • snowshoes suitable for your weight
  • warm layers (i.e. avoid wearing only a heavy winter jacket as your only layer, you will get too hot! - wear multiple thin layers like fleece, soft-shell, synthetic layers with a rain or wind jacket over top)
  • warm gloves, toque, neck warmer, etc.
  • winter boots or hiking boots with gaitors. Please make sure your boots fit in your snowshoe bindings.
  • extra socks and gloves
  • sunglasses, sunscreen
  • backpack with water bottle, bag lunch, snacks, thermos with hot drink

If you do not own snowshoes, please start looking for a pair to borrow. Rentals can also be made at UofC Outdoor Centre or MEC.
