DESCRIPTION:Following Jesus. Serving Others. Becoming the Leader God Create
d You to Be.\nStudent Lead is a leadership formation and apprenticeship ex
perience for Grade 5-6 students that helps them follow Jesus\, serve His C
hurch\, and grow into increasing responsibility and influence.\nWHAT IS ST
UDENT LEAD?\nLeadership begins by following Jesus. Student Lead is more th
an a leadership program. It is an intentional discipleship journey where y
oung people are known\, encouraged\, entrusted with meaningful responsibil
ity\, and formed through real ministry experiences.\nYou Don’t Have to T
hink of Yourself as a Leader\nYou don’t have to know everything about th
e Bible. You don’t have to be the loudest person in the room. You simply
need to be willing to learn.\nThroughout the year\, you will serve in a m
inistry within our church\, learn from caring mentors\, build friendships\
, and discover how your gifts can make a difference. You will make mistake
s\, ask questions\, try again\, and grow. That is exactly what Student Lea
d is about.\nWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT\nLearn\nEach month we will explore what S
 cripture teaches about following Jesus\, serving\, character\, courage\, a
 nd influence.\nServe\nYou will practice responsibility\, teamwork\, humili
ty\, and initiative in a real ministry setting.\nBe Mentored\nA caring adu
lt will show you how\, encourage you\, answer questions\, and help you tak
e increasing responsibility.\nGrow\nYou will discover: God has created me\
; my gifts matter\; I belong in His Church\; I can make a difference today
.\nHOW STUDENT LEAD WORKS \nMonthly Gatherings\nStudents gather once each
  month from November – June for Scripture\, interaction\, discussion\, r
eflection\, and a practical serving challenge. Required monthly gatherings
happen the first Sunday of each month. Students can attend at either 8:30
am or 10:15am.\nServing\nEach student serves regularly in one primary mini
stry. Consistency allows skill\, trust\, and belonging to grow over time.\
nMentoring\nStudents serve beside a trusted adult who models faithful lead
ership\, gradually entrusts responsibility\, and helps them reflect. A req
uired Student + Mentor Connect will happen on Sunday\, October 18.\nGather
  → Serve → Mentor → Reflect → Repeat.\nTeaching and serving are no
t separate activities\; together they create one formation rhythm.\nWHY GR
ADE 5-6?\nThese years are a formative season for identity\, belonging\, fa
ith ownership\, and responsibility. Students begin asking: Who am I? Where
do I belong? What am I good at? Does my faith matter?\nStudent Lead meets
them in those questions with four grounding truths:\n\nI belong here. The
Church knows me\, values me\, and needs me.\nGod has gifted me. My gifts
can bless others.\nI can contribute today. Meaningful ministry is not rese
rved for adults.\nGod is shaping me. Serving is one way Jesus forms my cha
racter.\n\nREADY TO TAKE A NEXT STEP?\nIf you are ready to take a next ste
p in your faith\, I would love to have you join us. I cannot wait to see w
hat God has planned for you this year.\nJoin Student Lead\nRegister by mid
 night\, September 30.\n\n \n\n \nRead the Parent Guide\n\n \n\n \nQues
