DESCRIPTION:WHAT IS IT?\nA four-month program that develops and mentors you
 ng student leaders (Grade 5/6) to serve in the church.  Serving opportuni
 ties are available in JAM Kids Ministry and Hospitality (ushering\, greeti
 ng\, welcome team). \nWHY IS IT IMPORTANT?\n\nRelationship - students ar
 e partnered with a mentor who will get to know them and guide them as they
  are "on the job". This 1:1 relationship is a great way for kids to connec
 t with and learn from caring mentors.\nTraining - there are two types of 
 training that students will participate in to be better equipped to serve 
 confidently and most effectively. Training Sessions are one-hour interact
 ive training times that will help students learn specifics about serving i
 n the church and in their areas of ministry. On the Job Training takes pl
 ace in specific areas of ministry as students are guided by their mentor "
 on the job". \nServing in the Church - all are called to contribute thei
 r gifts and abilities in the body of Christ. Introducing positive serving 
 experiences is important to foster this value and calling. \nEarly Leader
 ship Development - developing young leaders in a nurturing environment whe
 re they can be equipped and grow in confidence is an excellent life skill 
 and good career development.\n\nWHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT? \n\nFour Mon
 th Semester from February 2026 -May 2026. \nTwo Sundays a month during on
 e of the services (one training session\, one “on the job”).\n\nWHAT I
 S INVOLVED?\n\nVolunteer Application – a link to an online form will be
  sent after registration to be completed before February 1. \n“Meet You
 r Mentor” Connect \nTraining Sessions – First Sunday of each month d
 uring JAM. \n“On the Job” Training – one Sunday a month involvemen
 t with mentor in your area of ministry.\nCelebration Gathering – Sunday 
 between services in June.\n\nWHAT IS THE OUTCOME?\nAfter the semester\, la
 unching a student who is well equipped &amp\; well connected into their sw
 eet spot in ministry.\nREGISTRATION\nRegister by midnight\, January 31 to 
 be part of Grade 5/6 Leadership Development.\n\n \n\n
