We’ve been a part of this neighbourhood for over 30 years and like many of you, we are delighted to call Glenbow “home.” As a church family, we particularly appreciate the Big Hill Creek, Cochrane Ranche, and our central location in Cochrane. It’s for these reasons (and many more!) that we are currently discussing how we might renovate our building to make it more attractive and useful. Our intention is to “Open the Door” more fully to you and the rest of neighbours in Cochrane for many years to come.

At this point in time, the primary goals of this project are to:

(a) Develop new space to accommodate local community groups, clubs and events.

(b) Improve and expand space for children’s programming on Sunday mornings.

(c) Reconfigure our offices to better suit the needs of our staff team.

Our conceptual design does not significantly expand the footprint of our current building and we have no plans to enlarge our sanctuary. Rather than increasing our seating capacity to host “bigger” events, our intention is to develop complementary program space To date, we have employed the services of Transept Architecture Inc. to develop conceptual plans and guide us through the development process. In fall 2014, a fundraising campaign was launched inviting our church family and local community to partner with us financially.  You are welcome to view our current design plans and discover more about the Open the Door project here.

We would like to invite you to a special Glenbow Open House at our church building on Wednesday, October 21st from 7:30-8:30 p.m. At this meeting, we will present conceptual drawings and share more details about our progress thus far. We are seeking  your feedback and will strive to answer your questions.

Light refreshments will be served and no RSVP is required.

If you have questions or concerns about the Open House or the project itself, please feel free to contact our Lead Pastor, Jason Koleba via email or phone at 403-932-6100.
