Cochrane Alliance Church offers ministries designed to meet the needs and interests of adults of all ages and walks of life. We seek to provide adults with a group where your needs and interests are met. Check out our adult ministry links and then plan to get involved.
Feel free to drop in for an evening of floor hockey. Location: Spray Lakes. If you are junior high or older; come out for a evening of fun and fellowship. The days and times are: Friday Janaury 15th from 9 - 10 pm; Saturday February 20th from 9:30 - 10:30 pm and on Saturday March 20th from 9:30 - 10:30 pm. These events do not have any cost for you to attend and we encourage you to bring out your friends and neighbours for the evenings!
Save the date: June 4 & 5, 2010. Bill Popplewell is heading up the annual golf weekend - enjoy a weekend of fun, fellowship, great food and of course, golf. Cost of the weekend is tentatively set at $215.00 (includes meals, accomodation, golf cart and prizes). Bill is also looking for prize sponsors - contact him directly if you can help out. ALPHA is a practical introduction to the Christian Faith.
What is the meaning of life? What happens when we die? What relevance does Jesus have for our lives? How do we deal with guilt? Why do people have to suffer?
If you would like to explore questions like the above, then ALPHA is for you!
Our Life Groups ministry gives you the opportunity to "do life" with a small group of people (6-12 people) who share common interests and needs. Life Groups meet regularly to encourage and support each other. Groups may also Study the Bible together, pray for each other and have fun together. It is our desire to see people grow together in their lives as they share a community experience with others.
Women's Ministries are events and learning opportunities designed to help you connect with other women in our church family and community. It is our desire to serve the interests, needs and desires of women with the goal of seeing women grow spiritually and in community with other women.
College and Careers is a group of young adults who have completed High school and have moved into postsecondary or have begun their career. College and Careers meet for Bible study, fun and being in a community.
This is a 9 week course aimed specifically at those starting out in the Christian life. It also serves as an excellent follow-up to the Alpha course. Participants study the book of Philippians with teaching and plenty of discussion.
The group will meet to view a DVD lesson then break for a scrumptious dessert and coffee time. Then they will regroup and work through the discussion questions in the supplied workbook.
Start date is: Sunday, January 24th, 6:30-8 p.m.
